Traveling with friends is always an adventure, and my recent study-abroad trip to the Czech Republic with eight of my peers was no exception. Prague is a beautiful city with a rich history, stunning architecture, and delicious food, making it the perfect destination for a group of LSU's College of Agriculture students to explore a new place together.
We landed, grabbed our luggage, and met our driver at the departures area. The cold weather waiting for us just outside the doors was quite a shock to my system. The cool breeze felt energizing as it brushed against my skin, providing a refreshing break from the muggy weather me and my peers were used to in Louisiana. The contrast between Louisiana's damp heat and Prague's chilly air was a delightful change, making me feel rejuvenated and amplifying my excitement for the trip. It was a welcoming reminder of the diversity of climates and experiences that travel offers. I eagerly embraced the wintery weather as part of my adventure in the beautiful European city. After a long day of traveling, Baija, Elena, Josie, Mattie, and I returned to our hostel to settle for the night. The walk back to our hostel was a valuable time to further get to know the upperclassmen girls in the group who are contributing to the College of Agriculture by exemplifying leadership roles within the college. We conveyed our gratitude for the opportunity to have been selected to go to the Czech Republic on behalf of the College of Agriculture. And as a result of the short time spent with each other on the walk back to our hostel, I was assured that the group dynamic would grow closer over the next few days of the trip.
